Your details are remembered only in your browser
Next time you open the tool from the same browser, your business details and the next receipt number will already be filled in — so you don't have to type them every time. This is stored locally on your device (localStorage), not on any server, so if you switch browser or computer you'll need to enter them again.

Is my data or my client's data uploaded to any server?
No. The receipt is generated inside your browser. Your data, your client's data and the final PDF are never transmitted anywhere.
Is my business data saved for the next receipt?
Yes, if you allow it: we save your business details and the last receipt number in your own browser (localStorage), so you don't have to type them again. That storage is local to this browser and this device — it isn't synced anywhere.
How is a receipt different from an invoice?
A receipt is proof that a payment has already been made — it's usually simpler, without needing the client's full tax details. An invoice is a more formal tax document, with more legal requirements. If you need invoices, use our Invoice Generator.
Is this a legally valid tax document?
It generates a PDF with the standard content of a receipt (business details, client, items, payment method, numbering), but it isn't a certified invoicing system. Check your country's legal requirements before relying on it as your only proof of payment.
