How it works
Each page of the PDF is turned into an image inside your own browser and run through text recognition (OCR). Then a set of rules looks for patterns typical of an invoice — words like "Bill To", "Total" or "Date", currency codes, date formats — to automatically fill in each column.
Digital PDF vs. scanned PDF
With a digital PDF — text you can select and copy, like the kind a computer or invoicing program generates — the reading is close to perfect. With a scanned PDF — a photo or paper scan — the tool also works, but it first has to "read" every letter with optical character recognition (OCR), a step that can introduce some errors if the scan quality isn't great. Either way, you can review and correct the result before downloading.
Why it's worth reviewing the table
This tool is free and works with no connection to any AI service, so the extraction is rule-based, not real document understanding. With invoices in very different formats from each other (common when they come from different suppliers) it can, for example, mix up a vessel's name with the client's, or grab a subtotal instead of the total. That's why the result is always shown in an editable table before downloading — rows with an orange background are the ones the tool is least sure about.

Are my invoices uploaded to any server?
No. The whole process — reading the PDF, text recognition and generating the Excel — happens inside your browser. Your invoices are never transmitted anywhere.
How accurate is the data extraction?
With a digital PDF (selectable text, like the kind a computer exports) reliability is very high. With a scanned PDF (a photo or paper scan) it also works, but there can be some errors because it depends on optical character recognition (OCR) — that's why we show an editable table so you can review and fix it before downloading the Excel.
How many invoices can I process at once?
